Poem of the Week: Julian Lawson

Julian Lawson reads his poem ‘Winter’, as part of our Poem of the Week, a feature throughout the winter of 2018–19, raising awareness of our campaign to end street homelessness in Cornwall.

This poem was written for the Doorway Project, a charity drop-in centre in Wiltshire, for those who are homeless, sofa surfing or who have complex issues that might affect their ability to acquire and/or sustain a tenancy.

Julian has experienced homelessness in the past but found help through Doorway and now helps and supports other people as a volunteer at the Lyneham Art Group in Wiltshire.

Over the winter of 2018–19 we will be sharing a different poem each week which will be read by notable figures, exploring the themes that resonate with our campaign.
