Poem of the Week: Patrick Gale

Patrick Gale reads ‘Concrete Pillow’ by Jacob Folger (Friend to the Homeless). Part of our Poem of the Week, a feature throughout the winter of 2018–19, raising awareness of our campaign to end street homelessness in Cornwall.

Patrick Gale is a novelist and screenwriter. He has lived in Cornwall since 1988, a county much celebrated in his novels. He is artistic director of the North Cornwall Book Festival, Patron of the Charles Causley Trust, Penzance LitFest and Literature Works.

Over the winter of 2018–19 we will be sharing a different poem each week which will be read by notable figures, exploring the themes that resonate with our campaign.
