St Petrocs’ benefit from funding support for rough sleepers during pandemic

Homeless Link (the national membership charity for organisations working directly with people who become homeless in England) has awarded emergency grants to 133 charities backed by £6 million of government funding. Charities supporting vulnerable rough sleepers will benefit from funding which will allow the charities to continue their vital work during the pandemic.

At St Petrocs we are really pleased that Homeless Link have secured this funding and that it will help support vital services across the UK and in Cornwall including ourselves, YMCA Cornwall and Harbour Housing – all working to end street homeless in Cornwall.

The financial assistance will help protect charities against closure, service cuts and staff redundancies due to the increased operational costs and a loss or fundraised income caused by the pandemic. Crucially, this will ensure that people experiencing homelessness can continue to receive the support they need to recover and move on.
